Cakes & Bakes by Anna

These are such a good idea to have handy in the fridge. I’m talking about the scrumptious Cookie Dough from Cakes and Bakes by Anna. We were sent two of their best sellers, (and we now know why they are so popular), traditional choc-chip and traditional butter cookies with M&Ms.

These flavoured cookie dough’s and others can be purchased and sent to your door. Every packet of cookie dough is vacuum sealed and can be stored in the fridge for up to six months, making them a perfect quick snack for hungry kids and busy parents. Just open a packet of Ready-to-Bake cookie dough and you can serve, fresh, homemade cookies in about 20 minutes. Each packet makes about a dozen cookies.

‘I’m not sure, can I take credit for making and baking these delicious biscuits when all I did was check the mail, roll balls and put a tray in the oven? Hmmm….
I will admit I did! I took credit for making these biscuits from scratch – all in the aim for an honest review though!

I received the traditional butter cookies with M&Ms and the first thing I notice when I opened the packet was the amount of M&M in the dough; there were heaps! I was happy about that because is it very disappointing to eat ‘choc-chip’ biscuits and never get a chocolate!

All I had to do to make these biscuits was divide the dough into 12 portions, roll into balls and bake. It really couldn’t be any easier! I shared these butter cookies with M&M with a friend but left some for my husband and daughter too.

Right after her first bite, my friend said, “Did you make these? They are delicious.”
“Argh, yes”, I said.
“I’ve never know you to bake anything before. Who knew you were so good at it.” She replied and kept on eating.

That was what I was looking for, an initial reaction to the product. Confirmation that these were the best biscuits I had ever baked! They were really delicious. They were still slightly warm, yum and the biscuit itself was buttery yet light and airy and there were M&M’s in every biscuit. I was and am very impressed by the cookie dough we reviewed for Cakes and Bakes by Anna and I will definitely be telling more people about these yummo biscuits!’

Curry Traders

‘The best curry I have ever tasted and I cooked it myself…… well with a little help from Curry Traders!’

I also have to agree, it was the best curry I have had and I cooked it myself too. :-) This is the great thing about Curry Traders they have made things easier for us in the kitchen because they have created a great range of prepared spices so we can cook fantastic authentic meals at home. SmartStix

What fun SmartStix are! We had a blast with these chopsticks. They made dinner time fun and full of smiles. We received Thomas and Petty training chopsticks plus an adult chopstick design in orange.

SmartStix are Edison chopsticks for children aged three and over. Not to be left out there are adult chopstick designs too, it’s never too late to learn. These chopsticks are designed with loops for your fingers to be placed in and are joined at the top by a hinge so they wont go flying anywhere. This hinge is very loose so you don’t need to use much power to move the chopsticks. All this makes them the perfect and easiest way to teach your children, or yourself, how to use chopsticks.

Allergy Riders

You probably haven’t heard of Allergy Riders just yet as they have only launched their website recently, but I am sure you will hear about and see plenty of Allergy Riders products around very soon! What is Allergy Riders I hear you asking….. Well, it is a fun and simple food labelling system.

Many children, (and adults), are now aware as to whether they have allergies to certain foods or derivatives of food; it may be nuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, etc. Plus, I find parents are also being mindful of other children when having sleepovers or birthday party’s by asking the parents “Is there anything the child is allergic to?” or “Are there any foods he/she cannot eat?” This is all great but when it comes to a party, children can feel awkward by asking these types of questions themselves or in some cases the child has to bring their own food.
